Frequently asked questions
How long do sessions last for?
Sessions last for 50-60 min. Special arrangement can be made for a 90 min session if you need this.
Do you accept medical aids?
Yes. I work with most major medical aids. In most cases, medical aids will deduct the cost of the session from your medical savings. If there is insufficient savings, then the account will need to be settled by yourself.
Do you work with teens?
Yes. I work with teenagers 15 years and older. I work with anxiety, stress, psychological strengths development and life transitions.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Life happens, and I completely understand that. In general, I ask that sessions be cancelled/rescheduled no later than 12 hours before the appointment. Simply email kevin@psyqconsulting.co.za, and we can see what can be done.
Where do you practice from?
I have three primary practice locations:
Private Residence Rooms - Midstream, Midlands Estate (Mondays and Fridays)
Practice Rooms - Midstream Medical Centre (MMC) (Tuesday to Thursday)
Do you accept cash clients?
Yes. Sessions can be paid for 24hours in advance by way of EFT. The cost is the same as that charged to medical aid clients.
Do you do after-hours appointments?
Special arrangement can be made for sessions between 18:00-19:00 or 07:00-08:00.
